wild at heart art - sea swap

I finally finished my sea swap mermaid and now I'm getting ready to send it off to it's new home. Here are a few views of it. She was made from a wooden 'lizard' that I altered for her long bendy tail. I applied paperclay to the upper portion for her face and torso, the rest is painted, glittered and encased in gold netting. With all that she's still bendy, which I think is the fun part!

  1. She is brilliant - Love her face and hair detail!

  2. Thanks Abi, sorry I didn't respond sooner, I'm still learning about blogging!!

  3. Oh! I don't think she is a mermaid, I think she's a water nymph, related to a damsel fly.
